British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople confirmed on Wednesday night. The fighter was part of a serious road collision in the Lagos area on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The boxer had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, his promoter had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the passing of his two trusted companions.”
