Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is presently halfway through the four-year contract he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the first important achievement of his distinguished career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he earlier was, and would certainly contemplate extending his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had escaped him until he won the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
